St Andrew’s Dragonfly: Giverny

Year 4 began the project by thinking about the types of habitats that dragonflies might be found in and considered what a dragonfly in flight would see.

Our focus soon led us towards Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings of his gardens and water meadows. Our design incorporates the vibrant flower meadows and the calming waters covered in water lilies that inspired Monet’s works.

The class have all contributed to our dragon fly, which is still a work in progress, and are looking forward to seeing the dragonfly at the end of the month on display!
