The design on our dragonfly came from a number of ideas. We started thinking about things to do with nature and natural history and came up with insects, leaves or flowers. We chose flowers because they were able to be designed in many different ways and were bright and colourful.

Then we started looking online for some inspiration and came across the idea of sixties flower power which we realised fitted very well with our school values. So we chose four values for the wings and went from there. Every child in the class painted at least one flower onto the dragonfly and we were very proud of the result.
